    CHEESY MEATBALL SLIDERS

    Tender, Beef and Pork meatballs piled high with melted cheese, and a simple spicy tomato sauce. Serve these on slider rolls, or as a sweet/savory twist use Hawaiian buns. Garnish with chopped basil and you've got yourself a winning dish for game day, or anytime you need a recipe for entertaining.     Ingredients

    • 3/4 lb ground beef
    • 1/4 lb ground pork
    • 1 egg
    • 1 white onion
    • 4 cloves garlic
    • 1/2 cup parsley
    • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
    • 1 tbs water
    • 1/2 tsp oregano, dried
    • 1/3 tsp Sel Magique Spicy Blend
    • 1/2 tsp black pepper, freshly ground
    • 4 cups tomato sauce, homemade or store bought
    • fresh basil, chopped for garnish
    • slider buns of your choice, alternate use sweet Hawaiian type
    • 2 cups fresh grated mozzarella cheese

    Instructions

    • preheat oven to 400 degrees f
    • add the ground beef, ground pork and egg to a large bowl.
    • place the onion, garlic and parsley in a food processor and pulse until well chopped. Add to the bowl.
    • stir in the water, oregano, Magique, black pepper and breadcrumbs until well combined. Don't over-mix.
    • using a 2 oz. scoop, form meatballs and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in the oven for 20 minutes.
    • heat the tomato sauce in a large pot, add the meatballs, cover and lower the heat. Simmer for an additional 15 minutes.
    • Turn on oven broiler. On your serving platter, prepare the slider buns to be filled.
    • Remove saucy meatballs from the pot and arrange on a baking sheet, add a generous pinch of cheese to each, and broil until bubbly. Remove, and place one saucy, cheesy and delicious meatball in each slider bun. Garnish with chopped basil, maybe a pinch of Magique, and serve. Enjoy!
